The week that was in Dalby, July 8 to 14

July 8

Drug charges: As a result of calls for assistance police attended a disturbance in McPherson Court, Dalby during which it will be alleged that drug utensils were located. A 23-year-old Dalby man was arrested and charged with possess drug utensils and property used in the commission of an offence. He will appear in Dalby Magistrates Court on August 15.

Drugs and weapons charges: As a result of information received by police, a search warrant was executed on a 39-year-old Inala woman, who was staying at a local motel. The search of her vehicle subsequently saw the woman charged with possess dangerous drug, possess drug utensil and unlawful possession of a weapon (a laser pointer). She will appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on August 15.

Drink driving and speeding charges: A 51-year-old Dalby man was intercepted in Mahon Street with regards to his manner of driving. As a result, the man was breath tested and returned an alleged reading of 0.112 per cent BAC. The man will appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on August 1 for drink driving and speeding offences.

Stealing: A 39-year-old Nerang man was charged with allegedly stealing property belonging to a licenced premises in Dalby. He will appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on August 1.

July 9

Property offence charges: Investigations into the unlawful entry of vehicle behind a Dalby coffee shop lead to police executing a search warrant at a Drury Street residence. As a result of the search, property was recovered from that offence and a similar offence committed at a local sporting club.

As a result, a 35-year-old Dalby woman and a 35-year-old Dalby man were charged with fraud, unlawfully enter premises, possess tainted property and possess dangerous drug. They will appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on August 1.

Drug charges: After being called to an address in Carlow Drive, Dalby police located a drug utensil. A 20-year-old Dalby man was charged with allegedly possessing a drug utensil and will appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on August 1.

July 10

Drug and property offence charges: As a result of ongoing investigations into a break and enter to a Bunya Street residence on June 26, police executed a search warrant on a Bagot Street residence. It will be alleged that a quantity of property and drugs were located. A 14-year-old Dalby boy was charged with break and enter, whilst a 31-year-old Dalby woman was charged with possess dangerous drug.

The 14-year-old Dalby boy will appear in the Dalby Children’s Court on July 17. The 31-year-old Dalby woman will appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on August 15.

July 11

Drug charges: Police intercepted a vehicle on Drayton Street due to the manner of it being driven. It will be alleged that a subsequent search of the vehicle located a quantity of drugs and drug utensils. A 18-year-old Blackbutt man was charged with possess dangerous drug and possess drug utensil. He will appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on August 1.

July 12

Evade offence: Police are attempting to identify the driver of a white Holden Commodore utility that failed to stop when required by police at 12:40am on Edward Street and again at 12.50am on Matheson Street. Investigations are continuing.

Drug driving offence: Police on patrol in Matheson Street will alleged that they found a vehicle stopped and idling with the driver asleep behind the wheel. A 22-year-old Millmerran man was charged for allegedly driving whilst under the influence of drugs. He will appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on August 15

Drink driving offence: A 23-year-old Kaimkillenbun man has been charged with drink driving after he returned an alleged reading of 0.072 per cent BAC after being intercepted driving on the Bunya Highway. He will appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on August 1.

July 13

Drug driving offence: While patrolling Beck Street, police observed a bicycle being ridden erratically. After speaking with the rider, a 54-year-old man was charged for allegedly being under the influence of a drug while riding a bicycle and possess a dangerous drug. He will appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on August 15

Drug driving offence: A 41-year-old Dalby man was intercepted in Orpen Street for the purpose of a roadside drug test. He was later charged with allegedly drug driving. He will appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on September 9.

During this period Dalby police also:

  • attended eight calls in relation to domestic violence matters;
  • issued 11 life endangering traffic infringement notices; and
  • performed 296 roadside breath tests
